The snow

So I've realized that I'm not very good of keeping this a day by day thing.... but I'm really trying to get back to it. Don't loose faith in my posting abilities :)

Well I thought I would share some pictures of the snow in St. George....CRAZY!!! I was seriously worried that I wouldn't make it home for Christmas. And seeing the weather reports for the country I made it in just in the nick of time too....(well the pictures that I was going to send are taking too long as I have made it home and am now on dial up :( I'm so sad.

Shelly... who hasn't seen much snow in her life... was way excited to have it snow. We built a snow man. She made a snow angel (I wasn't in the mood to be that cold) and we had a snowball fight. That I did take part in full heartily. However, I finally realized why they don't sell flip flops in the winter...snow is not the best weather for them...I nearly go frost bit from my stupidity of thinking snow wasn't that cold. I enjoyed the winter scene.

Final Projects!!!!!!!!!! ARE DONE!!!!

I"M SO EXCITED!!!! this semester is officially over!!!!!!!!!! I've been working so hard for the last couple of weeks that I'm totally excited to go home and sleep for a couple of days. Because I tell you what I could actually sleep the whole time. But the work I did was really worth it. I've learned so much about the different classes that I've been in this semester. I've also learn so much about who I am...how much stress and how to balance my life. Overall I can look back on the semester and be happy with the work that I have done. I couldn't have done it without several very talented people that have helped me throughout the semester to get my projects done.

Well I thought I would include some of my latest projects which have plagued my dreams for the last week or so.

This is my first 3D animation. I started out with a really cool domino thing but the computer didn't have enough juice to render it... so i settled for this one. Then I had a 10 minute rundown of how the video editing software worked...so enjoy......

This link is to my Flash Final project. Its interactive word game. Its pretty fun. It was something that I through together to get the assignment done.
Flash Assignment

This is the link to the website that I created...(with much help from my good friend Dustin). This will actually be launched soon for an actual company. Which is both Exciting and very scary. Its like how I would imagine sending a child to school for the first time would feel like. I'm not ready but it will do well I'm sure.
Lampworkers Studio

Hope you enjoy seeing what I have been working on. Its not a whole lot but its been a lot of work. So I thought I would share with you.

Cold Weather

My feelings exactly as the winter months progress and it become colder. Not that I don't enjoy cuddling up in my nice down blanket with a cup of hot chocolate and a good book. Someone told me the other day that he liked the smell of cold....confused I asked him what he meant... he replied that when you walk outside and you can smell the crisp air, wood stoves burning, and trees. I thought that was an amazing observation that most people(such as I) would miss out if he had not told me. Now I appreciate the cold weather a little more now then I did before. However, I still prefer the sunshine and warmth. It brings warmth to my soul and makes it sing :)

Thanks to my Support Systems

I want to thank all my support systems because sometimes a little encouragement is all it takes to make my life a little easier to live. Thanks for listening when I rant sometimes. For letting me watch your kids to make me feel like a kid :) Thank you so much!

Up NORTH

Well this Last weekend I went up north with Eliza and Katie. We had a Blast! We took a tour of BYU and can I tell you I'm really happy with my decision about Dixie. Not that BYU doesn't have a great academic standard and beautiful architecture... I just couldn't handle being up there. One of the things I really enjoyed was all the statutes on campus were wrapped in plastic for tonights game. It was HALARIOUS!

We also went to the BYU Basketball game. I WAS SO EXCITED... not so much that it was BYU but that it was basketball season!!!! I can't wait for ours to start. It will be Great!!!!!!

An Update

So I've realized that I haven't posted anything recent on my blog. Not that things haven't been happening in my life...I've just have been so busy. So here goes the fun Update........ :)

First It was Sam's, my roommate, 21st birthday! It was a lot of fun. I attempted for the first time to make cinnamon rolls.....yeah they turned out to be cinnaROCKS...lol I just told her that they were made with love and that I can't win with all my cooking adventures. Shelly and I also blew up balloons and made her a poster. It was just a great time. Here are some pictures.

A DATE!!!..... with the Library

Well today has been one of those day.... The ones that keeping on going and yet you don't ever feel like you've gotten anything accomplished. I've been working on homework and studying for test all day. I've made a small...very small dent in my homework but problems have started to discourage me from continuing. However, not continuing is not an option at this point. So I decided to write to the world...Whoever should happen to read this. I'm sitting in the library seeing a cute guy across the way and wondering what could make someone look so stressed. Poor kid. iPod in ears he is whisked away into a world all of his own. I only know this because that is what happens when I put the well used white iPod earbuds into my ears. I block out the world. Never really works because I get very distracted but I try to. .....Well now that I've gotten to the rambling part of my life I will sign off.... I think this is the most random I've ever been. Sorry :( I'm just way bored.

~until another boring moment :)

My Job

Okay so I've been thinking about writing about this for a long time but just haven't gotten around to it. MY JOB!!!! I love my job :) Kathy is the best and we have a lot of fun together. Its great fun. But my favorite part of my Job is watching people run into the door that's right by my office. (I mean this in the nicest possible way..because without these people, my job wouldn't be so entertaining.) You know... the one that has one side locked and the other side open. :) No matter how many times people come through the right side of the door they always go out the wrong way. It cracks me up every time! Its like the bee in the window scenario.... the bee can see the outside but no matter how hard he tries he can't get out so he keeps bumping into the window. With the door, people will come in the one side and when they go out they push the other side and then they push it again seeing if it still won't move. After several tries they try the other side and find that it will open for them. I just sit behind my desk and giggle as I watch. Occasionally I will give little hints to the students to try the other door.... Its amazing :)
............Until I, myself, run into the front door every time Kathy closes it because of the wind.... That too is hillarious...sometimes frustrating but still pretty darn funny.

An Inspiration

Well I'm proud to say that today was my very first day of running..../walking but mostly running. I went with my roommate Shelly. I was looking at Janille's blog and her picture of the St. George Marathon and I became inspired. I'm so proud of her. This is not to be confused that I'm going to run a marathon myself or anything close to it. I will work up to running the full time and see where it leads me. But I have to confess it was kind of fun. I felt accomplished afterward. My first run consisted of running from my house down to the temple, down a couple of blocks, around the football field and then through campus back to my house. It only was about a half hour start run/walk but its a pretty good little distance. I will be completely sore tomorrow, but I will endure another run tomorrow. My very first goal will be running 6 times a week for a couple of weeks. The challenge will be finding someone that will want to run with me :) lol. I'll keep you updated with my progress I'm hoping I will be able to make this goal :)

Another Project

Well life is going! I'm not sure where too but its going. Homework keeps me really swamped these days. But I guess that's what I get for being in the last stretch of the this college experience of mine. I've been working on several projects. The pictures are of my 3D logo that I finished this last week. it isn't much but it looks pretty cool. I like it. Plus it didn't take a lot of time :) I'm all for projects that don't take a whole lot of time. Especially when I have other projects to work on. Okay so it doesn't look as cool as it does on my computer...sorry.
Soon I'll post my Beauty and the Beast Enchanted rose for you all to see. Its pretty much going to bee the coolest thing ever. All hand inputted and everything.

My First 3D Project

So last night I turned in my first 3D project for my class. I was really surprised but it turned out really well. At first I thought this class was really dumb and I wanted to just get it done and move on. It didn't help that our teacher started the semester out with a term paper.... But now, I'm starting to really enjoy learning about this stuff. When I started working in computers when I was in High School I thought it would be really fun to work on the Disney Pictures, which would still be great if i could. Although I might not be working at Disney or Pixar I can at least pretend for the duration of the class :) Here are some pictures of my work.

Homework Marathon

Okay so its only the 2nd week of school and I already have 2, 5page, papers which I have successfully put off until now. (they are due next Monday :( ). I know that everyone has plenty of homework too, but seriously what are teachers thinking....lol Well luckily I have this blog to take a break from the research. But I have to say the library is doing well. Very quite and not too many distractions which is nice :) I'm sure many of my blog entries this semester will be from my very special study station up on the second floor of the Library. Well I guess I've had enough of a break for now.

~ Till I get lazy with my research.

......AND THEN

I don't know if it was something in the water or the fact that it was late and I was out with friends without the responsibilities of being the RA anymore, but I went WILD! At least as wild as my conscience would allow...lol But I had SOOOOOO much fun. Eliza, Katie, Cristina and I went out to Denny's to celebrate life. Earlier that night, Eliza, Katie, and I watched "Transformers" in the new CLUB C... aka Club Chancellor. Katie was sitting in one of the new lounge chair thing and totally tipped over backwards. It was HILLARIOUS! We all laughed for a good 10 minutes. It will forever be a memory of CLUB C.

Then Came the Roommates.....

After the Weekend up in Orem with Eliza... my roommates started to trickle in from around the globe. I have 4 really cool roommates. Shayley, Sam, Corinne, and Shelly. They truly keep me on my toes.... But I love them for it. It was a little rocky at the beginning to get back into the whole roommate thing, but I think I've done a pretty good job transitioning. Correct me if I'm wrong...lol

It all started with a Drive

This semester has been really fun so far :) I'm so happy! Apartment life really agrees with me. Things have been pretty hectic around her though and it all started with a very melted AERO's bag of chocolate and a long drive home from Orem, with a really great Friend, Minus a radio :) LOVE IT!!!! good times

The Lightning Storm

Well I don't know if you were up to see the lightning storm night but I sure was. I love Lightning!!!! You'll never guess what kind of pictures my camera got! Some of them are not quite in focus but they are pretty amazing :) This is the first time I've ever been able to capture lightning on camera. Hope you like them :)

Michael Buble

Here's a picture of the stadium. The inside was pretty much like it's own little city. Holding enough people to be almost the size of St. George. That should pretty much explain how big it was. Here's a picture of the inside...well a little of it anyways. this was the part where the concert was.

It was sooooooo much fun. I have more pictures but you'll just have to wait until I come back to see them :) Hope you are all doing well. I'll see you in a couple of weeks :)

Michael Buble

Well On the 23rd Sarah and I went to the Michael Buble Concert at the Millennium Stadium Which was way cool!!!! The Opening act was Natural Seven. I've captured just a little clip of it here. I would have done more but my battery was dying :(

Carren's Graduation Pictures

My sister Carren is graduating this year with 2 Master Degrees. One in Secondary English Education and another in Teaching English as a Second Language. Here are a couple of pictures of me
and the parents with her as we do a short photo shoot around our farm. The two different
colors around her neck represent the different Degrees. White is for Master of Art, Blue is for Education.
